DAILY PRACTICE IN MOTION

If you are pressed for time or not drawn to taking time out of your day, then here is an exercise which allows you to bring attention to your day as it unfolds.

In the morning, choose a word or phrase that you want to bring into the day with you, hold it in your mind and if you find yourself daydreaming or overthinking, gently bring your chosen word or phrase back into your mind.

Another way to bring motion to your daily practice is to hold these 3 Yanas close by:

1. Do no harm to anyone— train yourself so that, within your lifetime, you do not bring any harm to another sentient being.

2. Cultivate the good and virtuous—adopt the kind of life that offers the possibility to cultivate all things that are good and virtuous.

3. Train in awareness at all times—exert effort in training the mind to develop awareness at all times.
